Graduates from six or seven semester long bachelor programs in the following fields can apply for the Masters program Computer Science in Information Systems:

  • Computer Science
  • Information Systems
  • Related disciplines

A degree Dipl.-Ing. (FH) is sufficient for application  as well. Applicants for Computer Science in Information Systems should have basic knowledge in business administration and at least, should be familiar with disciplines like financial accounting and business management. For more details concerning these aspects, esp. which subjects are considered as BA skills, see FAQ.

In addition, a minimum grade point average has to be met. The limit is 2.5 in a grade system from 1 to 5.

Please, be aware that these are only necessary but not sufficient conditions. We have many applications for a limited number of places. Therefore, not all applicants can get a place in our program. We suggest that you should send application documents to other universities, too.

English skills are mandatory for the Computer Science in Information Systems program.

The master program requires a minimum TOEFL score for admission:

  • 550 for the Paper-Based Test (PBT),
  • 213 for the Computer-Based Test (CBT), and
  • 80 for the Internet-Based Test (IBT).

Alternative tests, such as IELTS, TOEIC or VEC, are considered as equivalent. The required IELTS grade is 6.0.

Alternative: preceding school education completly held in English (at least 1 year).
Alternative: Preceding german school with at least 6 school years with “Englisch” as subject.

German skills are mandatory for the Computer Science in Software Engineering program. Here, basic knowledge in business administration is not mandatory.
