This is a branch of <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>artificial intelligence (AI)<\/strong><\/span>. Many game learning approaches are based on <span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>reinforcement learning<\/strong><\/span>, namely TD-learning.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px\">In our research group we have studied extensively the game <span style=\"color: #00f\"><strong>Connect-4<\/strong><\/span> (\"Four-in-a-Row\"). We were able to develop an agent which learns Connect-4 nearly perfectly just from self-play. The project is related to the research field known as <span style=\"color: #00f\"><strong>General Game Playing (GGP)<\/strong><\/span>.
